Social Media do's/don'ts when promoting your music

This is a tricky subject. When you are promoting on social networking sites, it is important not to come off as a crazy spammer. You should try and avoid posting links to your music on a person's wall. It can really be irritating if you post it on someone's post as a comment that has nothing to do with what the post says. This really makes people mad, and they will most likely not even want to check you out. If you really want to do it right, try introducing yourself to people. Let them know what you do. Then tell them they can check out  your music when they feel it is the right time.
Or, spend money and take out an ad on Facebook or Twitter. They have fairly affordable ad programs these days that can help. Be courteous and do not piss people off. It hurts you more than you think.

Artists and bands be sure to submit your music at these radio networks as well. www.hardcorejamz.com (Playing Hip-Hop and R&B) www.hardcoremix.com (Rock,Pop,Country,Jazz,Electro,Gospel and more) Submit music on either site.
