Get the most out of your kick drum with EQ and Compression

When mixing your music, you want your kick drum to sound as full as possible. You should definitely use EQ and it does not hurt to use compression. For a nice solid kick drum, set your compressor to the following. Ratio: 6:1, Attack: 3ms, Release: 200ms, Threshold: Adjust for about 8-10db gain reduction. For EQ, try boosting in between 80 and 100 hz. Experiment to see what you think sounds best. Do not over-do it. Too much bass can muddy up a track, so these are starting off points to figure out the sound you want.

Artists and bands be sure to submit your music at these radio networks as well.
