Make your music more appealing to record labels

People who work in A&R for record labels have to task of listening to tons of music. Of course it gets old. You hear the same music styles over and over again. Here are a few ways to appeal to these people.

No boring intro
A&R people will tell you that they will listen to the first 30 seconds of a song and if it does not move them in that time period, they will generally trash it. So make sure the first 30 seconds of your song is on point. Do not waste it with with no vocals. Show your talent.

No shrinkwrap
If you have retail ready CD's you are sending out, take the shrinkwrap off for them. It gets annoying having to unwrap a CD to listen to it. They want to grab the disc and pop it in to listen.

Be original
Make sure your music has original content. Everybody sings about the same thing these days. Switch it up with some new content. Push the limits of your songwriting skills.

Send the info needed when dealing with MP3 music
If you are sending an MP3 of your music, be sure the file contains  your band or artist name, and the song name. You would be surprised at how many people send an MP3 file that is labeled "song1.mp3".

Artists and bands be sure to submit your music at these radio networks as well.
