How to write a music bio

When sending music to deejays, program directors, labels and the press, you will need to include a shirt bio about yourself. The best advice I can give is to keep it short and to the point. One page should be more than enough. Use standard font and avoid using slang words. Basically talk about who you are, what you have done and what you want to accomplish. As you release new music you will need to revise the bio to include prior releases and anything else that may have changed.

Here is a basic outlined:

(Top of page)
Name of artist or group.

/First Paragraph/
Briefly talk about who you are and where you grew up and what inspired you to do music. (If this is a band introduce the band member sand what they do).

/Second Paragraph/
Here you will talk about what you have accomplished and any prior releases.

/Third paragraph/
Here you will talk about your latest release and what your plans are for this release.

/Bottom of page/
Here you will put your name and contact number, email and website

It is as simple as that!

Artists and bands submit your music to
www.hardcorejamz.com (Hip-Hop)
www.hardcoremix.com (Rock,Pop,Country,Jazz,Electro,Gospel and more)
Submit music on either site
